I am going to call this post “la brou dans l’toupet et ma morve au nez”!”
I went to bed last night around midnight and up at 2:25 to capture a sunrise on top of Prairie Mountain. It’s about an hour or so drive and about an hour climb. As I am making my way to Bow Fall - trailhead, road construction at 3 am eh!!! I waited about half an hour, which put me behind with the start of the hike to catch the blue hour and sunrise.
Prairie Mountain hike is 3.3km uphill, and now that I was behind about 30 minutes, I had no other choice but to crank it. 3.3km in 46min… my fasted time ever climbing up Prairie Mountain.
For those of you who watched my live stream video of the sunrise, it was unbelievable but only lasted a few minutes.
I moved to the opposite side of the mountain because of the amazing colours that were happening. As I turned, I saw this whitetail deer…
It was worth having “la brou dans l’toupet et ma morve au nez”!
No color adjustment on this photo… that is how crazy the colours were this morning. @fujifilm @kananaskis @Canmore @fuji50r
