About Us
SlickPic was created in 2010 by a group of photographers who grew tired of trying one photo service after another only to find that there was nothing out there that really fit our needs.
We wanted a service that was capable of storing, showcasing, sharing, and displaying photos in the configuration we want and with who we want, but without needing a degree in engineering to do it!
So, we built SlickPic with privacy and security settings integrated from day one, so that they are simple and intuitive to use even for the to suit every photographer and every situation. And we’ve been helping thousands of fellow photographers ever since.
We believe that anyone with a passion for photography can become a great photographer and our mission is to give you the tools you need to succeed.
Our mission guides how we design our features, interact with our customers, and hire our talent.
We knew that to really help our clients make it to the next level, we would need to help them with their online presence. This means more than just a photo hosting and sharing service; nowadays any photographer worth their salt needs a professional portfolio website. We created our portfolio site builder specifically for photographers, with all the features and functionality they might need (and none of those complicated features that they don’t!), and we added a one-on-one professional design service to build it for them.
All you need is passion, persistence, and some tools for the journey: a camera, some editing software, a bit of training ... and, what we believe is the most important tool for any digital photographer – the ability to showcase your work at its best.
We are a client-focused company and rely on our community of photographers to spread the word and help us grow our SlickPic family. This referrals-based marketing model allows us to invest in the product and make sure we are always delivering the maximum value to our clients.
It’s a labor of love and we hope you love it just as much as we loved creating it.
